MOVING BEYOND THE DIVIDE: WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND UPWARD MOBILITY IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
This brief outlines the context for IT and workforce development and analyzes the role of IT programs— why they work, their challenges and opportunities, and the upward mobility potential for entry-level IT workers. The brief concludes with policy implications for employment training.
