is currently pursuing the dual degree Masters in City Planning and Masters in Public Health program at UC Berkeley. Guided by a dedication to social justice, her previous work includes participatory research to document the health impacts of highway redevelopment for local community organizers in Wisconsin and mapping disparities in asthma and environmental health in California. Most recently, Justine worked as a Bilingual Research Assistant at a community-based research organization in San Francisco, where she focused on community-based participatory research, housing, and public health in the Bay Area and the Central Valley. Through her graduate studies, Justine hopes to explore how place-based public health initiatives can activate a redistributive regional planning agenda to advance health equity, while maintaining community ownership. Justine is a proud Wisconsinite and public university alumna.
